It is always hard saying goodbye, so we’d rather say thank you to Craig Vandepeer for his dedication and service to the AMC CUF and the vital role he has performed since joining the CUF in early 2021.
Craig has spent the last two years working with dedicated and professional staff who are committed to delivering on the purpose of the AMC CUF ‘making infrastructure work for our communities through the creation of local jobs and economic benefit for the state’.
“In the two years of my involvement at the AMC CUF it is amazing to see the capability of the Australian industry, with highlights including the Hay Point coal loader, wharf upgrades, superyachts and patrol boats launched, and the maintenance of complex warships and submarines,” Craig said.
Starting his career as a Naval Officer, serving 16 years, and then transitioning into defence industry related management roles, Craig has spent an impressive 45 years in the defence industry.
“As a nation we need to be confident of our capabilities to complete complex programs safely, economically and on time. The role of keeping the facility open for industry from the defence, marine, energy and resources sectors is vital to ensure that work can be done in Western Australia and not moved offshore.”
Craig, thank you for your service and we wish you well in your next endeavour.
